Prime Residence

Horizons Retreat: A Prairie-Inspired Weekend Villa

Brief

This 3,154 sq. ft. private residence was designed as a weekend retreat, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie style. It reflects three key principles of his philosophy: the “pressed” roof volume that emphasizes a horizontal composition, an extended front roof overhang influenced by Japanese architecture, and expansive covered terraces that enhance outdoor living. Set on flat terrain with vertical vegetation, the home blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Functional zoning and layout were carefully planned to balance practicality with timeless design.

Architectural and Design Highlights

This villa offers a perfect layout designed for relaxation and leisure. The living room, kitchen, outdoor kitchen, and spa center with a barbecue area are seamlessly connected to the terrace and pool zone, creating a harmonious flow. These spaces also integrate beautifully with the backyard, enhancing the sense of openness and connection to nature. The facade features handcrafted German bricks that subtly change color with the weather, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving exterior. The pool includes multiple zones for an enhanced experience, while the spacious balcony off the master bedroom adds an extra touch of luxury. Together, these features provide an exceptional weekend retreat, combining thoughtful design with comfort and elegance.
